Berry’s Why Do I Blog Meme

Ohai!

I kinda suck ‘cos I missed the meme last week (I’m sorry Berry!) but I’m all on time with this one and I will catch up on the other one, scouts honor.

So this week Berry wants to know why we blog (I admit, the title was a giveaway) so here goes,

How long have you been blogging? Since February 2010 (I had to check, I have a crap memory).
Why did you start blogging? I have always been a massive shopaholic in SL and I would change outfits 6 or 7 times during a couple of hours so eventually, with lots of encouragement from my friends Natalya and HellSpawneD, I eventually started blogging so I had a reason to change so much.
Also, while I’m here, big props to HellSpawneD for the name Not Quite Pink. *fistbumps*

How many times a week do you post an entry? Hmm it really depends on my mood. Sometimes I get a blogging bug and I post every day for a week and other times I won’t post for a couple of weeks.
How many different blogs do you read on a regular basis? Dammit this question sucks because I have to admit I don’t read any blogs regularly. There are lots I will click on when they post on Plurk they have a new post up but I don’t actively read any regularly.
Do you comment on other people’s blogs? Oh yes! This is something I am trying to do more often because I LOVE it when people comment on my posts so I try, on at least one day a week, to go to as many blogs as I can and leave a comment on a post or two.
Do you keep track of how many visitors you have? Yup. I am a stat watcher and proud of it. I get that the idea of blogging is to do something you like and you do it for yourself but I also think there ‘ain’t a lot of point blogging if no one is reading so I like to keep track of what people like to see so I can do more of it.
Did you ever regret a post that you wrote? Ummmmmm not reeeeeeaaallly. I regret blogging some designers for one reason or another but I don’t regret my posts because time and effort went into them. Even my first posts which suck something terrible, I loved at the time.
Do you think your readers have a true sense of who you are based on your blog? Oooo good question. I have no idea actually. Probably. I blog about glitter and unicorns and stuff a lot so they have an idea.
Do you blog under your real name? Nope, under my SL name or my SLuicide Girls name.
Are there topics that you would never blog about? I’m a fashion blogger so topics aren’t really an issue for me. There are however items I won’t blog like anything containing copyright material or IP infringement. I stay away from those and do my best to avoid them if I spot them.
What is the theme/topic of your blog? Fashion. And Unicorns.
Do you have more than one blog? If so, why? I only have one that belongs to me but I blog on SLuicide Girls and The Hottie Cooterati Experience blog.
What have you found to be the benefits of blogging? It gives me a chance to be creative and to improve my photography and editing skills. It’s introduced me to some amazing people and given me a real appreciation of the hard work that goes in to making pretty things in SL.
So, why do you continue to blog? Because I continue to shop!
